It is estimated that over 1 million people in the United States are living with HIV and AIDS, with over 50,000 new cases every year. The Cascade Aids Project is dedicated to stopping the spread of HIV in our local communities through education and prevention. In 2011 alone, CAP provided more than $871,000 in direct assistance to this monumental effort.
On April 28, 2012 CAP held their 12TH Annual Art Auction, with over 250 donated works of art and 1,000 honored guests. Northwest Empire Community Management was excited to participate in this event. You might have seen some of our smiling faces as we helped direct guests to their seats and prepared the auctioned art for the journey to a new home. This year, we helped the 23rd Annual CAP Art Auction raise $570,000. Don’t worry if you missed the auction, CAP has many more great events planned for 2012 and we’re already laced up and ready for the AIDS Walk Portland. Come on out and take a stroll with us for a good cause.
